It all started in 1996 when I finished my preparation year in the Iceland Academy of the Arts and moved to Milan, Italy, to study Graphic design and Illustration. That took me three years but after graduating I landed a job as a graphic designer in Milan and I stayed in Italy for another three years. I moved back to Iceland and worked as an Art director at the advertising agency Hvíta Húsið for seven years. That was the best school I could have hoped for in working in the creative field.
In the beginning of 2010 I decided to move to Barcelona to do a Master program in Branding/Corporate Identity, at Elisava, Barcelona school of Design and Engineering. That year I founded my company Baddydesign and ended up becoming so busy with work that I left school. Currently I live in Reykjavík, Iceland, balancing my work between two things that I love to do, graphic design and teaching yoga.
Key areas, in 16 years of work experience, include: Art direction, web-design, advertising campaigns in every media, branding, corporate identity design, book-covers, event design, cd-covers, packaging, editorial design, illustrations, direct mails, logo design, posters, outdoor-advertising, amongst others.
I love challenging design and illustration projects, I love drawing and painting, I love meeting interesting people, I love yoga and a spiritual way of living, I love going for a swim, I love the ocean, I love being with good friends, I love travelling and expanding my horizon, I love good food and good coffee, especially good coffee!
I love life in all its colours and my life long project is to contribute in making the world a happy place for me and everyone else, through everything I do.
